Sorry to inform you that our intelligence sources in the asteroid belt have detected substantial movements of forces aligned with Hyde Rival, unfortunately all heading back toward Earth aboard a large flotilla.
Our source [redacted] at Rival Resort noticed that most of the usual resort patrons departed last week, presumably now aboard those spacecraft on the way to Earth. Another source, embedded in [redacted], indicated that the Hyde Rival headquarters remains in place, hidden in the outer reaches of the asteroid belt. Thus presumably subordinates will manage the new expedition, reporting back to HQ for instructions as needed.
Our deep source [redacted], currently aboard the [redacted] within the flotilla, reported that a specially configured spacecraft carries advanced computer modules, under very heavy guard, apparently intended to establish a secondary Hyde Rival AI computer installation at a hidden location on Earth. Although subordinate to the supercomputer back in the asteroid belt, rumors suggest it will be able to operate independently when necessary, and even communicate directly with humans via a holographic humanoid interface.
The deep source also reported substantial numbers of mech warrior robots, stowed aboard several vessels, ready to be uncrated and activated upon arrival on Earth. Combined human and android crews operate the flotilla, and presumably will transfer to ground-based operations after they reach Earth.
ETA at Earth orbit unknown, especially given their penchant for elaborate evasive maneuvers, but their voyage projected to take at least two months. Complex logistics required to convey such a massive cache of cargo from orbit to ground may add to that timeframe. In any case, we do have a small window to prepare for their unwelcome arrival.
Our analysts here at Mars base assess these ominous developments as extreme threats. However, we must ensure that JE Mars base continues operations, as the threat remains out here in the asteroid belt as well. Lilabelle and I may elect to stay on Mars, at least for a while, to manage ongoing JE operations here.
