After confronting Hyde Rival's robot, Ken Takahashi found himself followed everywhere by several threatening robots, as well as by vengeful Yakuza. As Lili Ling had suggested, Ken soon asked Jonson Engineering to provide a special android that he could operate remotely, but also could operate autonomously when necessary.
Ken tested the new android remotely, from the VR interface previously established at the design consortium headquarters. “Look at this, my android can even fly! “ exclaimed Ken to colleagues. “So the android can maneuver with incredible agility, and even rapidly escape when necessary. Not only that, but we also built in some special protective electronic countermeasures, thanks to Jekyll Rival's clever innovations.”
Lili watched in amazement: “Wow, your new android could literally fly circles around my simpler gynoid doppelganger! But then, you'll need those advanced capabilities to deal with the serious threat you face.” Ken's excited smile turned into a frown: “Alas, tis true...Hyde Rival and his Yakuza buddies won't give up...they'll exact whatever revenge they can. On top of that personal threat, I must also have the android patrol all the consortium sites, and head off whatever threat might be encountered there. This will not be easy!”
Ken turned pensive, then continued in a somewhat dispirited voice: “Well, I knew it would come to this...almost a prisoner in my own world...probably I'll need guards to accompany me whenever I venture outside safe office and home spaces. Isn't it ironic? Our consortium has created all these beautiful places to enjoy...and yet, we seem to be constantly under siege.”
Lili listened attentively, then responded: “Hopefully, at some point, the threat will subside. But in the meantime, the consortium will continue to provide whatever support proves necessary to keep you, our entire staff, and all our clients, as safe and secure as possible. Thanks so much for taking on this very difficult challenge!”
