After Jekyll Rival's spacecraft arrived back on Earth, his robotic team quickly began developing their new facilities in the hidden bunker set aside earlier as part of their contingency planning. The critical first step involved re-installing the key supercomputer components which had been evacuated from their earlier facility before Hyde Rival attacked. As soon as the supercomputer achieved full operation once again, Jekyll Rival's AI re-emerged with all its amazing capabilities completely intact. With that underlying base restored, the Jekyll Rival team could proceed to develop the many other facets of their elaborate underground complex.
However, Jekyll Rival realized from earlier experience that he still needed some human input, especially regarding ethical matters. This problematical aspect had become very apparent with the deplorable activities of Hyde Rival, which seemed quite ironic given that the human Dr. Rival's uploaded “mind” gave rise to both Jekyll and Hyde AI's. Alas, with Dr. Rival no longer around to guide them, these independent AI's, even though both sentient and fully autonomous, seemed to go astray in matters of value judgment.
Thus the Jekyll Rival AI actively sought the assistance of Sarah Catherine, JE's roboticist, who had deeply impressed him during her earlier visit to the Jekyll Rival asteroid belt facility. Although both Rival AI's had long used androids as devices for communicating with humans, Jekyll Rival understood that the anticipated high level of interaction with Sarah would require a very human-friendly environment – fortunately, the new location on Earth made that much easier than had been the case out in the asteroid belt.
The Rival Jekyll android invited Sarah to tour the new installation as soon as it became operational, and afterwards they discussed many aspects of upcoming plans and projects. Since the bunker was located not far from the new JE facilities, Sarah could conveniently spend more time with Jekyll Rival android. Indeed, they recognized the mutual advantages of operating both Jonson Engineering and Jekyll Rival facilities in a more integrated fashion. That strong collaboration would allow a much more effective response to Hyde Rival's ongoing mischief.
